How Did It Start

"The Fire Dragon" is available at

Here is a thought. The dragon resembles the Dinosaur as we all know. However, the Dinosaur is a prehistoric creature of which walked the earth millions of years ago and believed to for many millions of years. Just how did man develop the image of the dragon to exist in different cultures. It is too much of a coincidence in my mind that man developed this image out of imagination so close to what really existed. I have yet to understand this. It is hard to believe in ancient times the fossils were excavated and, assembled, studied and the creature understood and labeled. There is no evidence today that man walked with the Dinosaur yet where did the dragon come from. I am not one to say they were really here, but how did this happen. Take a simple look at two collectibles available on the market today to make it simple to imagine. Dinosaur and Dragon Figurines are the most similar items there are in many ways. Take the basic Dinosaur, add wings which one did have. Now throw in some fire breathing capabilities and now what do you have. I fire breathing Dinosaur with an imaginative fantasy look. I am starting to think some creature began the Dragon image. But what was the inspiration. ANY IDEAS, If so let me know.

Where Did The Dragon Legend Come From

The Brinsop Dragon

Where Did Dragons Come From ?
Can We Work On Solving The DRAGON Mystery Together!

Lets take a look at this concept in history as to where mans imagination could have developed the Dragon and then how did so many cultures adopt the dragon into their lives. These cultures have allowed the existence of the dragon into their lives in religion, fairy tales, symbolism and there are some writings I have read about from the middle ages that actually reported dragon sightings. Now lets go back even further. How about prehistoric times when the dinosaurs walked the earth, There was the Pterosaurs species of a prehistoric reptile although not classified as a Dinosaur that was winged and could most likely fly. Although, no one can be a viable witness today. The Quetzalcoatlus had a 39" wing span and had a elongated finger at the top of their wing. Sounds like the dragon we know today in artwork. How about this. The physical changes to the earth over time and mostly during the ice age practically re-sculptured the earth and what walked the earth left limited evidence as some of the evidence of these life forms are in deep in the earth and will most likely never be discovered unless we decide to move a mountain or redesign bedrock. In order for man to have created the image of the dragon, man would have had to have the image of it in mind from somewhere. Help me here with this, Did man walk with the Dinosaurs. Science and History indicates not. It does seem a coincidence that something similar walked the earth so close in relation with something that man created the image of and allowed into it‘s culture. Let’s start here. Where did the image of the Dragon come from?
